Sunshine Coast Spinners and Weavers Guild’s Annual Fibres Plus Sale, November 2015

Every November members of our Sunshine Coast Spinners and Weavers Guild invite the community to join us for our annual sale.  It’s always an inspiration to see the many beautiful items made by our talented members.

This year our sale was held in our new location at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre.  The large well-lit rooms were full of Christmas spirit with Deanna’s beautiful garlands, wreaths and lights and a Christmas tree covered with handmade gifts and decorations.

Yvonne was the proud winner of the silent auction bid for the 4oz skein of the Icelandic ewe Roxy’s tog which was hand combed and exquisitely spun and chain (3) plied by Joan F.

The Guild sale marked an important milestone for our Fibreshed as it was the first year that tagged Fibreshed items were part of the sale.  The number of beautiful high quality items is a sign of our developing Fibreshed.
